Portable Compressors (C Series)

A wide variety of users rely on CompAir C Series compressors when there is a demand for portable compressed air. Pressures range, depending on the model, from 7 to 24 Bar (101 to 350 psi). CompAir's experience in the design and manufacture of high quality and efficient portable compressors spans 200 years.(Holman was founded in 1801).

The whole range consists of over 30 models, there is a model to suit any application, from the smallest single axle model, powering a single pneumatic tool, through to the innovative Turboscrew range of machines. All models have easy access for operation and routine maintenance as standard across the range with well located control panels and simple lift off canopies or large access doors.

Across the C Series a wide range of options exist to tailor the compressor to your exact requirements. These include adjustable tow-bars, built in A/C Generators on certain models, additional filtration, built in aftercoolers, tool lubricators, road lights, pneumatic hose reels and also customers own paint colour and signwriting.

Portable Compressors

Gardner Denver offers two types of products using screw technology. There are rotary screw pumps, which are dry running screw vacuum pumps which excel when it comes to small carbon footprint and low life cycle costs. They are mainly used in customized systems for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry and in a modified industrial version for food packaging, industrial parts cleaning and in the manufacturing of solar panels.

In many applications, compressed air has become active and in processes where air comes into contact with the process it serves, the quality of that air becomes critical. Our oil free screw compressors, or rotary screw air compressors, constitute the second type of products featuring the screw technology.

Rotary screw technology uses a displacement principle where the screw compression element main parts comprise male and female rotors that move towards each other while the volume between them and the housing decreases. The pressure ratio of a screw is dependent on the length and profile of the screw and of the form of the discharge port. The screw element is not equipped with any valves and there are no mechanical forces to create any imbalance. It can therefore work at high shaft speed and combine a large flow rate with small exterior dimensions.
